Initial we were just going to split the screen in half to connotate the idea that even though the are physically close, their is still a barrier preventing the relationship to progress. This idea then progressed to include the motif and we wanted it to frequently appear in the video but with a purpose. This was a perfect opportunity to include the motif as it physically connected the two individuals together whilst suggesting that their relationship is not progressing as the time is still 3 o'clock.
This change was for presentational purposes as opposed to connotion. The initial idea was to have the dance move shown using a medium shot. However we wanted to make the the video more dynamic so we re-filmed the dance move using a medium long shot and altered between the two on the video. This also enhanced the dance move and the artists image, by emphasising the finishing pose with a medium long shot.
